One person is in critical condition following a head-on crash in Deerfield Beach.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A head-on crash in Deerfield Beach Friday has left several people hospitalized and one person in critical condition. The Broward Sheriff’s Office issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are investigating a head-on collision that occurred in Deerfield Beach Friday night. 

According to investigators, the preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 9 p.m. on Sept. 13, a 2020 Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound on Southwest Tenth Street when the driver lost control. Following this action, the Toyota departed from the eastbound lanes, traveled across the curbed median, and collided with a 2008 Ford Fusion traveling westbound on Southwest Tenth Street.

BSO’s Deerfield Beach district deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. The driver of the Toyota, the driver of the Ford, and a passenger in one of the vehicles were taken to Broward Health North for treatment. Detectives say the driver of the Ford, Isaac J. Knowles, injuries are listed as critical.
