BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton real estate agent spent Sunday night in the Palm Beach County Jail following his arrest by police in the Town of Palm Beach. Mark Samarel of the 21000 block of Arriba Real in Boca Raton is now out on his own recognizance.
Samarel was arrested and charged with “driving under the influence.” While the arrest report continues to be processed on Tuesday, citations reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com indicate that Palm Beach Police stopped Samarel on East Inlet Drive after he was allegedly observed driving carelessly.
Police say Samarel was behind the wheel of a 2023 Blue Mazada utility vehicle at the time of the stop which was 10:51 p.m. The investigating officer, according to citations, believed that Samarel was under the influence of something at the time of the stop. He was charged with DUI/Criminal Violation. He was additionally cited for “aggressive driving.” Samarel’s alleged blood or breath alcohol content was not documented on the citation.
