A Delray Beach restaurant received a warning after a health inspector logged multiple “high priority” violations.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach restaurant received a “warning” from a health inspector reporting to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The restaurant was not ordered to shut down, but did receive five “high priority” violations and one “intermediate” violation.

La Sorelle at 20 SE 5th Avenue in Delray Beach was inspected on November 6th. According to FL DBPR, the following violations were logged. Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, the following list is unedited and appears as it was filed with the State of Florida:

High Priority – Cooked/heated time/temperature control for safety food not cooled from 135 degrees Fahrenheit to 41 degrees Fahrenheit within 6 hours….tomato sauce 50F at bottom shelf in tall reach in cooler . Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit….lasagna 47F, tomato sauce 50F in tall reach in cooler at kitchen. Food not prepped or portion today , food being held more than 4 hours. Stop sale issue . Employee discarded food. …cheese 46F, cream cheese 47F, milk 47F in walk in cooler . Operator stated that door was opened for cleaning purpose. Food being held less than 4 hours . Employee removed food to reach in cooler . **Corrective Action Taken** **Warning**

Intermediate – No currently certified food service manager on duty with four or more employees engaged in food preparation/handling. A list of accredited food manager certification examination providers can be found at (web address). **Warning**

La Sorelle was not ordered to close. It was reinspected the following day and no violations were found. An unannounced follow-up inspection may be conducted.
