Traffic Problems On Lyons Road Following Incident.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman was seriously injured Thursday night when she was trapped in her vehicle following a two car crash on Lyons Road near Whisper Walk Boulevard. BocaNewsNow.com has learned the woman was in her 70s.
The crash created traffic issues on Lyons Road around 6:15 p.m. It was not immediately clear what led to the crash or the identities of those involved. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue extricated the elderly woman from the vehicle where she was a passenger. The extrication took just moments — Palm Beach County rescuers are highly trained.
The victim was transported to West Boca Medical Center for what are described as “non life threatening” injuries. No one else from the scene required hospitalization or emergency medical treatment.
Lyons Road, which runs by the Boca Raton Century Village retirement community, is often the scene of serious and critical crashes in the area between Century Village and Clint Moore Road. The scene of this crash was between Yamato and Clint Moore.
