The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office provided new information regarding an incident in The Oaks and Boca Bridges in Boca Raton.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The intruder incident at the Oaks and Boca Bridges earlier this week by two men in dark hoodies has now been confirmed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The men entered The Oaks, then ended up in a swimming pool in Boca Bridges — before vanishing into the night. Residents of both communities remain on edge. No arrests have been made.

PBSO, in a statement exclusively to BocaNewsNow.com, said the suspects managed to evade security at The Oaks when they entered Wednesday night, then seemingly scaled two walls and waded through a canal to make it into Boca Bridges which is to the north of The Oaks on U.S. 441. Here’s what PBSO told BocaNewsNow.com:

“Deputies responded to the address after security spotted two unknown males in hoodies jumping a wall into the community. Eagle spotted the two unknown males jump into the swimming pool/spa of the above residence to avoid detection, then flee into the thick brush of the perimeter western wall on the 441 SW corner of the community. Three K9s were deployed and thoroughly swept through the thick Areca palms along the perimeter wall. The K9s got multiple hits but could not locate the suspects due to the thickness of palms and brush.”

The suspects remain at large as of Friday afternoon. Watch video of the suspects in a pool in Boca Bridges here.
