Here’s advice and guidance from the City of Boca Raton as Game Day — December 18th — approaches.
THE GAME: It’s James Madison University and Western Kentucky University at FAU Stadium — 777 Glades Road.
THE PEP RALLY: Tuesday, December 17th is when you can head over to the Mizner Park Amphitheater for a joint team Pep Rally. Fans can celebrate the Bowl Game matchup and enjoy entertainment with the bands, dancers and cheerleaders from James Madison University and Western Kentucky University. The event is FREE and open to the public.
GETTING TO THE PEP RALLY: Free and Available Parking: Mizner Park, 327 Plaza Real City Hall, 201 W. Palmetto Park Road Building Administration, 200 NW 2nd Avenue City Parking Lot, 300 NW 2nd Avenue Downtown Public Library, 400 NW 2nd Avenue. Metered parking is also available along Plaza Real in Mizner Park and on select streets throughout Downtown Boca.
Catch a Ride with BocaConnect: Hop on BocaConnect, the City’s easy and stress-free on-demand shuttle service. FREE and low-cost service in Downtown Boca and the surrounding area. Download the app and book your ride. Bicyclists: Bike racks are available in front of City Hall. Be sure to wear reflective clothing and add reflective material to your bike for safety.
GAME DAY: December 18, 2024: Kickoff is at 5:30 P.M. Parking lots will be open on FAU’s campus starting at 12:30 P.M. Parking for cars is $20.00 in all lots and will be available for purchase on game day. Motorhome parking is also available.
ROAD CLOSURE HEAD’S UP: December 18 – 20th Street will be closed. Also, expect heavy delays in and around Glades Road and Spanish River Blvd.
FAN FEST: Want to celebrate before the game? Wednesday, December 18, 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Outside FAU Stadium, 777 Glades Road, the FREE Fan Fest event will take place. There’s also the Family Midway — an interactive area with live music, food, drinks, community organization event areas and a kid zone. Cheer on the Boca Raton Bowl teams, bands and spirit squads as they walk right through Fan Fest upon arrival!
