BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man sitting in the middle of Military Trail near the intersection of Woolbright Road was struck and killed by a motorist who presumably had no idea that a man would be sitting in the middle of Military Trail.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that a Boynton Beach resident driving a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe was driving southbound on Military Trail Friday evening in the center lane just north of the intersection with Wollbright Road.
That’s where a man was sitting in the center lane facing southbound. According to police, the front passenger side of the Hyundai impacted the back of the person sitting in the road, then ran him over. The Hyundai came to a controlled stop.
Police say the unidentified man was pronounced dead on the scene. No charges were filed. Investigators are still trying to locate the victim’s next of kin. It is unknown why the man was sitting in the middle of a road.
