Boynton Beach Police say Alvin Gayle abducted a young woman with special needs.

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A construction worker is in the Palm Beach County jail Saturday morning following his arrest by the Boynton Beach Police Department where investigators say Alvin Gayle abducted a young woman was special needs and intended to assault her. Here is the official statement from Boynton Beach Police:

>>>Boynton Beach Police responded to reports of a possible abduction around 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 31 near South Seacrest Boulevard. Upon arrival, responding officers determined a 24-year-old female with an intellectual disability had left her residence in an SUV with an unknown male.

Officers began canvassing the area and were able to locate multiple witnesses who were able to identify the unknown male as 71-year-old Alvin Gayle, who was working with a road construction crew near the victim’s residence. Officers contacted Gayle via phone, where he informed officers that he was with the victim at his doctors’ appointment in West Palm Beach.

Gayle and the victim were quickly located at the doctor’s office by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies and BBPD officers. He was then transported to BBPD headquarters to be interviewed. Through the investigation, BBPD detectives determined that Gayle had intended to have sex with the victim and was aware of the victim’s intellectual disability. Gayle is a career offender who has previously been charged with sexual battery, kidnapping, attempted murder and offense against a child.

Alvin Gayle was arrested for kidnapping and is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail. <<<
