BOCA RUDETON: The Bad Parkers Are Back In Boca Raton

%%

But There Are Still Dog Problems. So Many, Many Dog Problems…

%%
Welcome to Boca Rudeton for Sunday, February 2, 2025.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s Sunday so it’s Boca Rudeton day, the day we look at the rude among us who decide it’s okay to park anywhere they choose, take dogs into places where they don’t belong, talk on speakerphones even though no one wants to hear them, and generally be rude and obnoxiously in South Florida. We know, that’s pretty much every day here.

The full view of the white Mercedes with Florida tag CF5HF taking two spots at the Glorida Drummond rehabilitation center in Boca Raton.

We start with the Gloria Drummond Rehabilitation Center at 650 Glades Road in Boca Raton. That’s where the driver of the Mercedes with Florida license plate CF5HF apparently doesn’t just need physical therapy, but driving therapy, too. Our tipster says parking is always a challenge there. The driver of the Mercedes upped the challenge by taking two spots.

This parking doesn’t work outside BagelWorks in Boca Raton (on Glades Road near the Florida Turnpike).

We’ll stick with our parking theme and discuss it while we have bagels. Wait, we can’t. That’s because the driver of this Kia Sportage with Florida license plate 44BRAQ has apparently decided to park in the middle of the road at Bagel Works on Glades Road near the Florida Turnpike. Our tipster says the car was just left there for no reason. Even if there was a reason, we think just leaving your car in a lane of traffic is rude.

Two cars, three spaces. Welcome to parking in Boca Raton.

Now let’s head over to Whole Foods on Glades Road near FAU. That’s where we find two cars taking two spots. We don’t know who started it, but we do know that the Chevy with Kentucky plate D1S913 has no reason to be over the line. And certainly the Lexus ES300 (remember when everyone had these in South Florida?!) with Florida plate Z16ALI certainly doesn’t need to be taking two spaces. It’s a double Boca Rudeton in just one photo.

At the Publix in the 5th Avenue Shops in Boca Raton, reading apparently isn’t fundamental. These shoppers apparently couldn’t read the signs that say pets are prohibited.

If all the parking problems made you hungry, let’s head over to the Publix in the 5th Avenue Shops in East Boca Raton. That’s where our tipster found two — count ’em two — examples of why its so important to read. Despite huge signs telling customers that pets aren’t allowed under state and federal laws, these people decided — apparently — that laws don’t apply. We have the woman with two-tone hair carrying a dog. And we the man with AirPods who placed his dog in his cart! Ever wonder what’s in the cart where you put your food? It’s dog! (As we always say, maybe these animals are highly trained service animals that save lives. If there are trained service animals, they are permitted. But lying about a dog’s training is a crime in Florida).

So who is our winner this week? We’ve got to go with the Mercedes parked in two very large spaces at the Glorida Drummond Rehabilitation Center in East Boca which is part of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital complex. Anyone who has been to the hospital area recently knows that parking is tight on a good day due to massive hospital construction. So taking two spots is about as rude as it gets. Even if the driver has a physical issue — for which they are receiving physical therapy — there’s no reason to take two spots when spots are huge to start with. So the driver wins the official State of Florida driving manual with a pullout section on “parking in very large spaces: do’s and dont’s.” We encourage the driver to keep checking his or her mailbox. We’re also awarding a special prize to the people in Publix with dogs. It’s this free link to Reading Is Fundamental. Yes, RIF still exists! And for those who can’t read Publix signs, we think it’s high time to spend some time becoming familiar with words like “no” and “pets.” Try to sound out the words in the sign, below.

Publix No Pet Signs
Reading Is Fundamental! Try to sound out these words if you think it’s okay to bring your pet into Pubilx! C’mon. We know you can do it!

  1. Everyone I know is complaining about the dog issues. Whether it be in restaurant, supermarket, or any retail establishment.
I saw a huge Standard Poodle in Home Goods in Delray at the holidays, when the store was crazy crowded. I just stopped and stared at the people. What is wrong with people. I realize there are many issues, but common sense does not prevail anymore, and people are so selfish and ignorant. It is absolutely ignorant to take your animal in the supermarket or restaurant. If you cannot go to the store or restaurant for an hour with the dog, you need severe help. There are people who have asthma, and allergies and cannot come in contact with dogs or cats. You take them in restaurants or supermarkets, their butts in carts, or in some cases you see the photos of the dogs in booths, it has to end. Maybe it is time to discuss with county commissioners because Stores and Restaurants are not in compliance, and they are not getting fined. People aren’t being told to get out when they walk in with a dog. They should be told to get out. Please leave, you are welcome to come back without your dog. These selfish ignorant people don’t care about someone getting hospitalized after being in contact with their animal who isn’t supposed to be there. Also everyone should flood these stores and restaurants with letters. Enough

  2. Why isn’t anything being done to fix these situations? Tow, tickets, or fines, something to show these uneducated morons the rules are to be followed by everyone. I am over this type of behavior as are many others.

  3. And…..shoppers are putting their groceries, vegetables, fruits in carts that an animal was sitting in. You see bad and do nothing… you’re as bad as the person doing it. Yeah yeah many will say…I don’t want to get involved, potential fight, da da da. Safety in numbers…..many confront the person or have management tell them. And then some say, so what if they bring a dog inside or in the cart. You types are drama queens.

  4. The funny this is, all these instances that are published, are all the same type of people. Dinosaurs and from up north. Maybe we should just find a way to force them to stay in their dump ass states and stop coming and ruining ours for 3 months.

  5. If there is no expectation of privacy, why are we not publishing the names of these rude people so they can be shown for the inconsiderate people they are. Public embarrassment might do the trick.

  6. I don’t know why we don’t flood the Dept of Agriculture and Finance with the pictures of these dogs from these articles. Include the Dept of Health and Dept of ADA. We are stronger in numbers. Include senate and congress they are so far removed. Let’s welcome them to our world
