A shooting in Delray Beach has left one man dead.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man is dead following a shooting in Delray Beach. The Delray Beach Police Department issued the following statement to BocaNewsNow.com regarding the early Monday morning fatality within the city limits:

“At 12:30 a.m. Monday, Delray Beach police responded to a report of a shooting in front of a home in the 1200-block of SW 22nd Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male deceased from a gunshot wound. The victim, a homeless man, has been identified as James Appollonio, 54, of Daytona Beach. Delray Beach police are actively investigating and following up on leads related to the case.
