
DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman apparently walking in the street or trying to cross Ocean Boulevard was struck and killed by two vehicles. Delray Beach Police say it happened Wednesday evening. Authorities issued the following statement to BocaNewsNow.com:
On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at approximately 8:21 p.m., Delray Beach police responded to a fatal pedestrian crash at 2000 S. Ocean Blvd. A 71-year-old woman was struck by two vehicles, one traveling northbound, and the other southbound, while she was stopped between both travel lanes. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both drivers immediately stopped at the scene and cooperated fully with law enforcement. S. Ocean Blvd was closed in both directions for several hours.”
We do not yet have the identity of the woman who was struck and killed, nor do we know if she lived in the area. It’s unknown at this point if she was familiar with traffic patterns in the area, or why she was crossing the street where she did.
