DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Kings Point resident is facing a battery charge after he allegedly grabbed his wheelchair-bound mother’s arm and made her bleed. The arrest of Jason Ronzka is the 54th arrest of a Kings Point Delray Beach resident since 2023, the 34th since 2024, and the 4th in 2025.

According to a police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, the arresting Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Deputy documented the alleged crime and subsequent arrest this way: “While on routine patrol in the subdivision of Kings Point, unincorporated Delray Beach, I observed a white male yelling at an elderly female in a wheelchair at the bus stop in front of the main clubhouse. The woman was observed with multiple scabs on her left arm which were bleeding.

While reviewing nearby surveillance video, (Jason Ronzka) was observed forcefully grabbing (his mother’s) left arm and pulling it in a downward motion. He was also observed striking (the woman) on her forehead with an open hand. At this point, Ronzka was detained, placed in cuffs to the rear which were checked for proper fit, and read his Miranda rights. Post Miranda, Ronzka admitted to striking (the woman) on the hand and grabbing her arm. He stated that his mother wouldn’t listen to him and wouldn’t stop her wheelchair. He stated this is the only way he could stop her.

Based on my investigation, probable cause was found to place Jason Ronzka under arrest for ‘battery on a person 65 years or older,’ as he actually and intentionally struck and gabbed (his mother) against her will, causing her to bleed.”
