A Delray Beach breakfast restaurant will need to be reinspected following a not so great inspection by a health inspector.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — You may want to think twice about eating at a popular breakfast restaurant in Delray Beach. Skillets, at 14851 Lyons Road, just received several “high priority” and “intermediate” violations during a health inspection. The results were shared by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Skillets was not ordered to close.

Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, the following is the unedited list of violations filed with the State of Florida.

High Priority – Employee cracked raw shell eggs and then handled ready-to-eat food and/or clean equipment or utensils without washing hands. Observed employee crack raw shell eggs and then proceeded to change gloves without washing hands first. Advised employee to wash hands. **Corrected On-Site**

High Priority – Raw animal food stored over/not properly separated from ready-to-eat food. Observed raw shell eggs stored over cheese in flip top cooler #1. Operator stored properly. Observed raw bacon stored over cooked onions in walk in cooler on rack. Operator stored properly. **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation** **Admin Complaint**

Intermediate – Handwash sink used for purposes other than handwashing. Observed tongs stored in handwashing sink. Operator removed. **Corrected On-Site**

Skillets at 14851 Lyons Road was not ordered to close. An unannounced follow-up inspection, however, will take place. Inspections for Skillets on December 2, 2024 and July 27, 2024 were logged as “met inspection standards,” but an inspection on July 26, 2024 did require a follow-up.
