Allegedly Had Machete In Drug Store.
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman armed with knives allegedly threatened several Walgreens customers in North Broward County Monday night. She was eventually shot and killed by police. BSO issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:
>> Shortly after 7 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a suspicious person armed with multiple large knives in the area of South Federal Highway and Southeast 10th Street in Deerfield Beach.
Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and made contact with an adult female armed with the large knives. At some point, shots were fired. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the female deceased on scene.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the circumstances of the shooting. BSO’s Internal Affairs Unit will conduct an internal administrative investigation. <<
