Ford Taurus Slams Into Genesis G90 And Burns, But Everyone In Genesis Dies.
DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — All four people inside a Genesis G90 were killed Monday night in a two car crash on Military Trail. The Genesis was struck at a high rate of speed by a Ford Taurus. First identified as being in Boca Raton, PBSO says the crash actually occurred just over the line in unincorporated Delray Beach at 17900 South Military Trail. That’s near the Polo Club Shops. (Our maps still show this as Boca Raton). The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon confirmed the identities of the injured and killed. According to PBSO: A 2013 Ford Taurus driven by Jazmin Shope of Auburndale Florida was traveling southbound on Military Trail at a high rate of speed within the inner lane, approaching the Polo Cub shops near Champion Boulevard.
A 2017 Genesis G90 driven by James Rose of Boca Raton was traveling northbound within the left turn lane for the Polo Club Shops, and was in the process of turning left into the Polo Club Shops, and had entered into the inner through lane for South Military Trail.
The front of the Ford Taurus impacted the passenger side of the Genesis, causing significant damage to the occupant compartment of the Genesis. During the impact, both the Taurus and the Genesis were redirected off the road to the southwest. The Genesis impacted a concrete utility pole before coming to a final rest. The Ford Taurus came to a final rest south of the Genesis, against the shrub line, where th engine compartment began to be engulfed by fire.
All occupants of the Genesis were pronounced deceased in the Genesis at the scene. Both occupants of the Ford Taurus were transported to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries.
