White was honored on the Floor of the Florida House of Representatives today as “Officer of the Day.” It’s a prestigious recognition given to law enforcement officers who exemplify excellence, dedication, and service to their communities.
Boca Raton State Rep. Peggy Gossett-Seidman (District 91) was in Tallahassee, presented Det. White, and shared this with BocaNewsNow.com:
>> Detective White, recently named 2024 Officer of the Year by both the Boca Raton Police Department and the Palm Beach County Chiefs of Police, brings over 20 years of distinguished service to law enforcement. She has served in specialized units such as the Tactical Street Crimes Unit and the Joint Terrorism Task Force, and currently investigates complex financial fraud cases. Her investigations have led to major convictions, multi-million-dollar recoveries for victims, and commendations from the FBI, the Palm Beach State Attorney’s Office, and the South Florida Crime Commission.
She was introduced to the chamber by State Representative Peggy Gossett-Seidman (District 91) and received a standing ovation from lawmakers in recognition of her exceptional career, professionalism, and service to public safety.
“This was an experience of a lifetime. I’m so grateful,” said Detective White following the ceremony.
Representative Gossett-Seidman praised her achievements, stating, “Detective White represents the very best of our law enforcement community. It was an honor to recognize her here in Tallahassee and show our appreciation for the work she does every day.” <<
