DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A registered nurse who lives West Delray Beach is now out of jail following her arrest by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Samantha Salvati, 35, of the 10400 block of El Paraiso Place is charged with “driving under the influence, unlawful blood alcohol, DUI of Alcohol Or Drugs.”

According to a police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, Salvati was allegedly having a difficult time driving on the very straight U.S. 441 near Boynton Beach Boulevard. A PBSO Deputy was behind Salvati and noted the following in the report:

”On Wednesday April 23rd, 2025 while conducting traffic enforcement at State Road 7 and Boyoton Beach Boulevard, I observed a White Hyundai utility traveling westbound on Boynton Beach Boulevard, and turn south onto State Road 7. I observed the Hyundai make a very wide left turn, crossing the western most white road striping (fog line). I then began to follow the vehicle for a potential driving pattern. While doing so, I conducted a records check on her Florida Tag which returned an address of El Paraiso Place, in Deiray Beach. The Hyundai traveled southbound in a posted 55 mile per hour speed zone, at approximately 45 miles per hour.

When the outside (third) lane of State Road 7 ended, the vehicle merged into the 2nd outside lane, and shortly there after, changed lanes into the inside lane. The vehicle then made a U-Turn, going away from the direction of her residence, and back the way she came. I made a U-Turn at the next median break, and closed distance on the vehicle, now traveling northbound. At the median break south of Boynton Beach Blvd, the Hyundai merged into the turn lane, and then abruptly reentered the inside northbound lane, followed by entering the turn lane at Boynton Beach Blvd.

The Hyundai sat through two light cycles without moving. After the light turned green the third time, it made a U-Turn, traveling south again. I then conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the defendant, who was seated in the driver seat, and was the only occupant She identified herself by her Driver license as Samantha Salvati DOB 08/xx/1989.”

Salvati, according to police, was unsuccessful in her attempt to complete a series of field sobriety exercises. The medical professional then refused to provide a breath sample. Under Florida’s implied consent law, that led to an automatic license suspension and a trip to the Palm Beach County Jail. She was jailed ultimately released on $1,000 bond. A court date is pending.
