DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A two car crash in Delray Beach left a Boynton Beach woman dead, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Barbara Lane, 83, of Heather Trace Drive in Boynton died on Monday — three days after the crash on April 25th.

PBSO tells BocaNewsNow.com that Lane, in a Toyota Camry, “was driving northbound on Jog Road South and failed to yield the right of way to a Dodge Caravan as she turned left on North Oriole Boulevard. The driver of the Caravan was traveling southbound on Jog Road South within the center lane. During the crash, the front center of the Caravan impacted into the passenger side front corner panel of the Camry.

As the crash ensued, the Camry rotated and slid sideways over the curb and through the grass where it came to a final rest in the shrubs. The Caravan rotated and rolled backwards where it struck the curb and came to rest along the curb and sidewalk. Both Lane and the driver of the Caravan were transported to Delray Medical Center for treatment.”

On April 28, 2025, Lane was pronounced dead from her injuries. The investigation continues.
