Boca Raton resident Billy Joel has canceled all concerts due to a medical issue.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Billy Joel announced Friday that he is canceling all concerts due to a medical issue. Ironically, the issue has to due with pressure — the name of his 1982 smash hit which includes the lyrics “you have to learn to pace yourself.” This message was posted to Billy Joel’s social media accounts:

>> “Billy Joel has announced that he will be cancelling all scheduled concerts following a recent diagnosis of Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance. Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period.

Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health. He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage. “I’m sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding,” said Billy Joel. <<

Joel, 76, his wife, and two young children recently moved from a home in Manalapan to a home in Boca Raton’s “Sanctuary” community on the Intracoastal. He is often seen around the greater Boca Raton community.
