Andrew Feng Heads To Notre Dame After Graduating St. Andrew’s Boca Raton.

He is a winner of the $12,500 Visaul Aid Volunteers of Florida Scholarship from Lighthouse Guild in New York City. Lighthouse Guild provided these details to BocaNewsNow.com about the organization and the award:

>>Since 2005, Lighthouse Guild’s Scholarship Program has awarded more than $3 million in college scholarships to students who are legally blind. Former recipients have gone on to successful careers as nurses, attorneys, teachers, engineers, chemists, composers, musicians, and neuroscientists.

Andrew, who lives with Stargadrt Disease, will attend University of Notre Dame.

“Living with blindness has taught me the value of adaptation, resilience, and perseverance,” he said. “My disability is about more than sight; it’s about perception. I’ve learned people with disabilities can do anything if on equal footing.”
