BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Major protests are set for Saturday in Palm Beach County, as thousands — potentially tens of thousands — of people are expected to take to the streets to protest what they perceive to be the latest King-like actions by President Donald Trump. Among the concerns of those set to protest: new reporting Wednesday afternoon that the National Guard is detaining U.S. Citizens in California — waiting for police to arrive. The National Guard — part of the U.S. military — has no authority to arrest citizens. Legal experts say if a Guard member is telling a United States citizen that they can’t leave, it’s effectively an arrest, and a dictator-like move by the President.
Protests against Donald Trump, his administration, and controversial interpretation of the United States Constitution are set for Saturday nationwide — the same day the President is staging a military parade to honor his birthday — and the Army’s birthday — in Washington, D.C. Major protests are said to be set for Washington during the parade.
In Boca Raton, the protest is the “No Kings Indivisible Boca Raton Car Caravan and Rally” from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Fifth Avenue Shoppes.
In Delray Beach, the protest is the “No Kings PBC Indivisible Delray Beach Car Caravan and Rally” from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Delray Place Parking lot across from Nordstrom’s facing Federal Highway.
In Boynton Beach, the protest is the “No Kings South PBC Indivisible Boynton Beach Car Caravan, March, and Rally.” It starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs until 1:30 p.m. The location is the Riverwalk Plaza Parking Lot in Boynton Beach.
In Lake Worth, the protest is the “No Kings South PBC Indivisible Lake Worth Stop For Caravan March, and Rally.” It runs 9:45 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. at John Prince Park Administration Parking Lot in Lake Worth Beach.

The majority of America voted for Trump. That’s called a representative government and far from a monarchy. They voted for the exact policies that are being carried out now. “No Kings”? What sort of dim bulb buys in to this manufactured, well funded garbage?
No, the majority of the country did not vote for Trump. He didn’t even win a majority of the popular vote. If you think otherwise try looking up the definition of the word. And Trump may have been elected but he has acted in an authoritarian manner ever since, issuing executive orders in order to go around Congress, ignoring rulings by courts and showing contempt for the 1st Amendment (but then during his first reign he wanted the FCC to go after SNL because it made fun of him). Now he wants a military parade and has given multiple contradictory reasons for it – to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the army, for flag day or because we didn’t have one after WWII. The fact he whined about wanting one during his first term, combined with his contradictory reasons, shows that this is really for his ego. It’s amazing that Trump supporters cheered DOGE’s actions in the name of reducing spending but are perfectly ok spending millions on a military parade that isn’t necessary or needed. If he wants a parade he should pay for it himself.

Correction: The majority of these immigrants actually do pay taxes hoping to be able to apply for legal status. In fact, in 2023 immigrants contributed nearly $652 billion in federal, state, and local taxes, with undocumented immigrants alone paying nearly $90 billion. What they don’t do is collect any benefits from it. Our economy depends on immigrants, with most of these people working jobs no one else wants to work

Standing up against tyranny, corruption, and fascism IS standing up FOR America. This country has never been ours, we settled here and created a nation that was built and thrived as a result of immigration. He played the oldest trick in the book by dividing us against eachother and we fell for it. He has disregarded our constitution and failed this country time and time again.
During Covid, america had THE highest number (by almost twice) of deaths compared to any other wealthy country with the second highest unemployment rate this country has ever seen since the great depression. All during his presidency.
Corporations and institutional investors have torn down this country by buying properties in bulk and driving up prices, making it difficult for individuals to purchase homes or start locally owned businesses. Trump stands for everything thats broken the very foundations that made this nation the greatest country in the world.

Do the people who are so concerned about the National Guard’s actions in California realize that Biden let in to the USA, around 20 million illegal aliens and we are now paying the price for that insanity?. These are not peaceful protests by peaceful people in California, they are committing criminal acts. They are assaulting local and federal law enforcement officers, they are burning automobiles, they are damaging federal buildings, they are defecating on and burning American Flags. This is called a riot. There was a video on the news showing one of the “peace loving protestors”, standing behind a pole beside a street and then jumping out and throwing bricks at passing vehicles. Is this ok with you people who are going to protest in Palm Beach County on Saturday? Some of the comments above show that the writers have no clue about the true situation. By detaining some of these rioters and holding them for the police, the National Guard is probably saving the lives of many innocents. The Chief of the LA PD said his department needs help, that they can”t control the riots. Now they have it, no thanks to their moronic Governor. This is not politics, this is a life and death situation.

I would advise everyone to not steer clear of this event. There is a good chance the organizers will have paid provocateurs or find ways to provoke MAGA to get some attention. Steer clear of this event so you don’t get set up. Contact local law enforcement to protect the public from any disturbances and non-peaceful protesting.
