LAKE WORTH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Lake Worth woman is dead after crashing into a tree, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office which investigated the Monday incident.
According to PBSO, Rita Canova of Majorca Bay Drive in Lake Worth was operating her 2017 Nissan Rogue around 12:20 in the afternoon while heading eastbound on Hanover Point Drive. Police say she “failed to negotiate a southbound curve.”
Canova crossed over the westbound lanes of travel, off the roadway, through the shoulder, and impacted a standing tree — according to the police report provided to BocaNewsNow.com.
Ms. Canova was transported to Delray Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. No other vehicles, or people, were involved in the incident.
