DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you’re going to hit an unmarked police car and flee the scene, perhaps make sure that your license is valid. That’s one of the many takeaways for Randy Harbour, 69, of Deerfield Beach. He is accused of hitting an unmarked Delray Beach Police Ford Explorer, then fleeing the scene.

Accoridng to an incident report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Randy Harbour, driving a Prius, hit the unmarked Delray Beach Police vehicle around 3:15 p.m. on Monday. It happened in the area of 100 NE 6th Avenue. Instead of stopping, witnesses say Harbour kept on driving.

Unfortunately for Harbour, the driver of the vehicle he hit had lots of coworkers who aren’t fans of “hit and run.” They located Harbour and followed him into the parking lot of the Tennis Center on Atlantic Avenue. That’s where they confronted him about the alleged hit and run.

The police report states that Harbour admitted to the incident and, when asked to provide a drivers license, could only find his most recent license which was issued in California and expired a few years ago. That landed him in jail on charges of: “hit and run,” “public order crimes — violation non-resident exemption for a drivers license,” and “moving traffic violation — operate a (vehicle) without a license.” He was booked into the Palm Beach COunty Jail and later released pending a court date.
