Police believe it may have something to do with with the July 8th crash that left Wesley Moimeme, 28, of Pompano Beach dead. Here’s what BSO shared Thursday with BocaNewsNow.com.
>> Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit detectives are releasing a still image of the vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a man early Tuesday morning. Detectives believe the vehicle is a silver or gray full-size truck.
According to detectives, at approximately 12:53 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a traffic crash with injuries in the 600 block of North Powerline Road in Pompano Beach. BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded. The preliminary investigation revealed that an adult male pedestrian appeared to be standing in the roadway when he was struck by an unknown vehicle in the southbound lanes of North Powerline Road, north of Northwest Sixth Street.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased on scene. The investigation is ongoing.
