UPDATE: 8:40 a.m. — The trapped person has successfully been removed from the vehicle and is apparently not critically injured.
UPDATE 8:10 a.m. — Traffic is squeezing by on the shoulder, and in the express lanes, but we are monitoring huge backups. The crash is I-95 SB in the area of Spanish River. There are gaper delays northbound. We encourage you to stay off of I-95 in Boca Raton until this incident is cleared.
UPDATE: 8:04 a.m. — At least one person is trapped in the vehicle, according to sources involved with the rescue operation.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A serious crash just before 8 a.m. on I-95 southbound near Spanish River Boulevard is closing at least three lanes of traffic. Expect massive delays in the area for the next hour or so.

Traffic cameras monitored by BocaNewsNow.com show a vehicle on its side. Several people, including a woman in what appears to be some sort of medical uniform, was directing traffic around the vehicle while also trying to tend to at least one person inside. It was not immediately clear how many people — if any people — are actually inside the vehicle. It’s also unclear if anyone is injured.
Multiple vehicle were seen on the side of I-95. It was unknown if they were involved in the crash or attempting to help. Boca Raton Fire Rescue arrived on the scene just minutes after the wreck was called into 911. We will provide updates. For now, we advise you to stay off of I-95 NB in the area of Spanish River.
