Lake Worth resident Anna Wilczak was struck and killed by a car, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

LAKE WORTH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Lake Worth resident Anna Wilczak, 72, is dead after police say she walked off a curb and into the path of a car. Wilczak lived in the 5600 block of Eagle Trace Court.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a Ford pickup truck was traveling south on Winston Trail North and began to make a left turn onto eastbound Winston Trails Boulevard. Wilczak was on the southeast corner of the intersection in a northbound direction.

Wilczak, according to police, stepped from the curb and into the path of the pickup truck. The passenger’s side front corner of the pickup impacted Wilczak. Wilczak vaulted off the passenger’s side and came to rest on the curb on the south side of Winston Trails Blvd. The pickup came to a controlled stop.

Anna Wilczak was transported to Delray Medical Center where she was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries.
