UPDATE: One Dead. Four Cars.

UPDATE 5:22 p.m: Federal Highway just reopened, according to police.
UPDATE 1:26 p.m: A Boca Raton Police spokesperson confirms to BocaNewsNow.com that one person was killed in the crash which involved four cars. Two people were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A critical crash has closed Federal Highway in Boca Raton mid-afternoon Monday. Initial information received by BocaNewsNow.com indicates that one person died in the crash reported to 911 dispatchers around 12:30 p.m. The specifics of the crash were not immediately available.
Federal Highway is now closed northbound at Lancaster. That’s the 5800 block which is just south of Clint Moore /Jeffrey Street and just north of Yamato Road.
If this is in fact a fatality, expect Federal Highway in the area to be closed for the next several hours while Boca Raton Traffic Homicide investigators work the scene. We’ll update this report as soon as more information is received from Boca PD.
