UPDATE at 12:25 p.m. — Firefighting operations continue.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Firefighters and Lifeguards are on the scene of a boat fire in the area of 1400 North Ocean Boulevard in Boca Raton. The fire was reported just after 11:30 Wednesday morning.

While the situation is still developing, sources connected to the rescue and firefighting operations say that two people were on the boat when heavy smoke filled the cabin. The people evacuated the boat — possibly onto another vessel — as City of Boca Raton Lifeguards were first to rush to the scene and relay information to incoming fire crews.

The address is in the area of Red Reef Park. It was not immediately clear how far off shore the boat was at the time the fire was discovered. Check back for updates. If you have images, we’d love to publish them and give you credit. Email news (at) bocanewsnow.com or text 561-576-NEWS.
