MASS CASUALTY INCIDENT DECLARED. NEARLY 50 RESCUE UNITS. PEPPER SPRAY DEPLOYED.

UPDATE: 4:40 p.m. — Stunning new details from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue which had nearly 50 units on the scene. Here is there official statement: “At approximately 12:28, PBCFR Units were dispatched to the Lake Worth Community High School for a reported fight. Units were on the scene within 5 minutes. Shortly after arriving, they were told that a large group of people were affected by pepper spray. To treat and transport the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time, a Mass Casualty Incident was declared. By doing this, PBCFR was simultaneously able to rapidly get 44 fire rescue units to the scene, inform the local hospitals of a possible influx of patients, ensure adequate amounts of medical supplies are available on the scene, and also strategically move other units into areas ensuring Fire/Rescue/EMS coverage for the rest of our response areas. A total of 32 students and faculty were transported to 4 area hospitals. An additional 10-12 students were treated on the scene and released to their parents/guardians.”
UPDATE 1:35 p.m. — The Palm Beach County School District confirms to BocaNewsNow.com that there was a large fight in the school and pepper spray was deployed. It’s unclear if a student, staffer, or school resource officer deployed the pepper spray. Multiple people continue to be treated.
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Multiple fire rescue units are on the scene at what we are told is Lake Worth High School just off I-95 after a major fight broke out, leaving students and faculty members injured. We are told pepper spray was deployed during the fight.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue as of 1pm is on the scene and triaging the victims. We do not know the extent of injuries, but source say that least some of the victims are seriously hurt. Whether that’s immediate reaction to pepper spray that will ultimately self-cure, or if people are physically injured from a physical altercation was not immediately clear.
