DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Broward Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Beach Traffic Unit is investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred last month that left two people with serious bodily injuries. Detectives are releasing information of the subject’s vehicle in the hopes that new information leads to an arrest.
According to investigators, at around 8:21 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a hit-and-run crash involving a car and two pedestrians near the 1500 block of East Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach. BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded.
The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a vehicle struck a man and a woman who were crossing Hillsboro Boulevard and then fled the scene. Both pedestrians were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
According to investigators, the vehicle is believed to be a red-colored SUV possibly a Honda Fit. Detectives say the vehicle should have right-front damage
