BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — There is now a very good chance that the system marked by a red oval on the National Hurricane Center tracking map will become a tropical depression within the next several days. Whether it continues the 2025 trend of looping away from the United States mainland is anyone’s guess right now, but forecasters say this is one to keep an eye on. Here’s the update received by BocaNewsNow.com for early Monday, October 6, 2025:
Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 AM EDT Mon Oct 6 2025
For the North Atlantic… Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico (America):
Central Tropical Atlantic (AL95): A broad area of low pressure associated with a low-latitude tropical wave continues to produce a large area of disorganized cloudiness and showers several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.
Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form by midweek as it moves quickly across the central tropical Atlantic, approaching the Leeward Islands by the latter part of this week. Interests there should monitor the progress of this system.
Formation chance through 48 hours…medium…50 percent.. Formation chance through 7 days…high…70 percent.
