* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1233 PM EDT, National Weather Service Meteorologist
detected heavy rain due to thunderstorms, exacerbating
existing saltwater flooding from seasonal King Tides. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Key West, Boca Chica Channel Bridge, Boca Chica, Big Coppitt
Key, Key Haven, Fleming Key, Sunset Key, Geiger Key and Shark
Key.
– This includes US 1 between mile markers 0 and 11.
