BOCA RUDETON: Why Are People With Dogs So Incredibly Gross?

%%

Boca Raton. Delray Beach. Boynton Beach. Wellington. Lake Worth. Is Everyone’s Last Name “Gross?”

%%

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s another week of selfishness, grossness, and just plain entitlement in Palm Beach County — characteristics that we like to call “Boca Rudeton.” Dog owners again lead the way with smelly self-absorption, but bad parkers also have had a strong presence over the past week. Fasten your seatbelts, ignore the rear view mirror, and get that chew toy out of your mouth: it’s time for this week’s installment!

Publix at the Fifth Avenue Shops in Boca Raton.

We start with a photo from today, Sunday, October 26th. This is the Publix at Fifth Avenue Shops. We remind you that Publix has huge signs that say “no pets.” So it’s super cool that this woman brought her pet into the refrigerator at Publix. Even if we want to pretend for a minute that it’s a service animal, we can’t think of a legitimate reason why that service animal would be in the actual refrigerator.

%%
Starbucks on Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach.

Now to this week’s edition of “Here’s Why Starbucks Is Failing As A Company, Laying Off Workers, And Bleeding Marketshare.” This is the Starbucks at Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach. Our tipster says this dog was climbing on furniture and generally a nuisance. We have no way of knowing that’s true, but we do know this: the dog is in Starbucks and we can’t figure out a reason why.

%%
Bloomingdale’s in Boca Raton Town Center Mall. Seriously.

God knows lots of things, but God really knows we need two huge dogs in Bloomingdale’s in the DBRTCM (Disguting Boca Raton Town Center Mall). The Simon Property Group run mall (NYSE:SPG) continues to have animal issues. We don’t know if these dogs — like so many other dogs — pooped in the mall for shoppers to try to circumnavigate, but here’s what we do know: you don’t really need two huge dogs if you’re going to Bloomingdale’s.

Raw Juice in Boca Raton. Personal flotation devices are included with your purchase.

Everyone knows that dogs love Raw Juice. That’s the only reason we can think of why these dogs would be in Raw Juice in Boca Raton. Animals in restaurants is — as we remind you each week — against the law in Florida. We guess this woman likes to break the law. If you have any questions about the law, our friends at LaBamba in Delray Beach greet all customers with this sign:

La Bamba No Dog Sign
LaBamba in Delray Beach reminds everyone of the law.

We continue now with the parade of pets, and we move to Costco in Boca Raton…

%%
Costco Boca Raton.

Yes, Costco in Boca Raton. That’s where we see not the Old Man And the Sea, but the book Hemingway was planning to write: “The Old Man And The Dog.” As we always say, perhaps this animal is a highly trained service animal that is ready to perform life saving functions at a moments notice. Or, maybe it’s just a dog on a leash in Costco. If the latter, it shouldn’t be there.

%%
Whole Foods Boynton Beach.

Also legally challenged: this woman in the Whole Foods at Boynton Beach Boulevard and Hagen Ranch Road. Whole Foods — known for fresh food sitting out in the store — seems to have a problem telling people to leave their dogs at home so they don’t lick, sniff, pee on or poop on food that actual humans may buy.

%%
The Shoe Department in Nordstrom at Boca Raton Town Center Mall.

And we’ll wrap up our dog section with his lovely couple in the shoe department at Nordstrom’s in Boca Raton Town Center Mall. Why? That’s all we can ask. Why?

Let’s move on to parking now, and the people who truly should not be allowed to drive in Florida. Or probably anywhere.

%%
Parking outside Joseph’s at Town Center Mall.

What exactly is the driver of this Mercedes with Florida tag 24EMKB doing? This is not how you park. There is no such thing is a diagonal space in the middle of normal spaces. But at Joseph’s Market at Town Center Mall — a place where we often see dogs illegally inside — perhaps there’s no surprise that we’d see this parking job outside.

%%
Publix at 441 and Glades Road.

This is what it looked like outside the Publix at U.S. 441 and Glades Road. No, this is not a parking spot. BMW X3 with Dealer Tag Florida plate PK393Q, if we had the ability to revoke your license, consider it revoked.

%%
Walmart Super Center in Deerfield Beach.

At the Walmart Super Center on South Military Trail in Deerfield Beach, we find this Audi with Florida plate 97FCEM. It’s parked on the parking space lines. Should this person be allowed to drive? We don’t think so. If you can’t see parking lines, you probably can’t see much else.

%%
Royal Palm Plaza in Boca Raton.

And this Tesla driver, with what appears to Florida tag DR97ZX, apparently felt it was okay to face the wrong direction while parking. No, it’s not okay.

This is the time where we ask you to consider our winner. Who will it be? Dog? Parking? Idiot human? Our judges this week crunched the numbers, went back and forth multiple times, and ultimately decided that the winner is none other than a late entry. The woman with the dog in the refrigerator at Publix! Way to go! Not only are you breaking the law by having your dog in a Florida supermarket, but you are also showing everyone why there is a law to start with. You have your dog in a refrigerator. Let’s say it again: YOU HAVE YOUR DOG IN A REFRIGERATOR IN PUBLIX!!!! What do you win? It’s a trophy highlighting your accomplishment!

  1. YOU PEOPLE ARE REALLY AWFUL! DON’T YOU HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THAN SPY ON PEOPLE? FRANKLY, I THINK THIS IS NO BETTER THAN COMMUNISM… PEOPLE SPYING AND REPORTING ON THEIR NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS.
GET A LIFE AND REPORT THE REAL TRUTHFUL NEWS!!!

    1. You’re confusing COMMUNISM with COMMON SENSE. Let’s not spend too much time analyzing your comments, but how about just following the law and being a nice human? Your dog has no place in supermarkets, malls, or restaurants.

    2. These people are all breaking the law. Does Boca News Now ever report these violations to the State Department of Business and Professional Regulation?

If stores and restaurants don’t enforce health codes in the front of the house, i assume they don’t in the kitchens either.

    3. Figured she spelled that word wrong. Seriously Mia, you get a life! Entitled folks like you are what’s ruining this area. There are laws & rules out there for a reason. And “no”, you don’t get to not abide by them because I’ll let you in on something, you ain’t no better then the rest of us! Behave like a normal person so the paper won’t need to police folks like yourself! Your entitlement is off the charts so, KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!!!

  2. We need to ARREST and PROSECUTE some of these selfish, entitled, disgusting, law-breaking MAGA dog owners and make a point to the rest of these losers, who can’t obey the law : **Actions Have Consequences**.

  3. I always find it curious that the parking violations are committed by people with “luxury” vehicles. Perhaps they think their status car entitles them to park anyway they want, lol.

  4. Actually, the title should be Why are Dogs with People so Disgusting? People are disgusting. I am still amazed at all the people that get so upset about dogs in Publix yet they could care less about more important issues. Come on is this really a problem? And how many of you are cat people? I get all of you haters have cats!!!

  5. I freaking LOVE that a news entity finally has the cojones to just say it – because it’s true! Lots of people are allergic to pet dander, what about their rights? And it’s just a matter of time before the dogs get into fights and deficate all over the beautiful polished floors of the Boca Town Center Mall. I’m telling you…last time I went there I texted my family “looks like Boca mall is the new dog park!” There were more dogs than I’ve ever seen! I think I might be a good business model to have a “bring your dog restaurant” but it should be explicitly stated and part of the hook, but unless it’s advertised as such, it should be allowed because canine’s are being prioritized over humans with allergies. As a born and raised Boca native, I shake my head at the entitlement so prevalent in our ever changing town.

  6. Unbelievable that people will not leave their dogs at home while they go out. Are they afraid that going to crap all over their residence. No common sense.
    Store managers should be fired.

  7. Personal flotation devise… 😂😅🤣 you guys are hilarious. Yes South Florida is a pretty rude place. Been here almost 53 years, it was a lot nicer when the local politicians promised to control rampant development, then decided instead to stuff their pockets with cash and approve every single new sub-division and high rise that came along. We are turning into Manhattan. What’s next our own version of Mandami?

  8. You are 100% correct. Perhaps Governor Ron could have a televised address to chastise all of the ‘good folks’ who deem their self-indulgent practices supersede the rights and comforts of the rest of us.

  9. Not only are you a sad individual who clearly does not understand what it is like to love a pet, but you have the audacity to insult people about their appearance. What does the woman’s artificial breasts have to do with her dog? Nothing, you just have to insult people.

Generalizing that ‘people with dogs….are so rude’ is downright prejudice. Insinuating that all dog owners are rude clearly shows the author is a sad person who will never know the love of animal, nor could ever be trusted as the saying goes, ‘…people who don’t like dogs…” well, i will leave that to those who do to cringe at your silly dog policing articles…

How about all Karen’s should mind their own business! If the establishment is not concerned, either report them to the proper authorities or don’t shop there…Alerting others that dogs have been allowed clearly does not concern most business owners because those Karens probably are just as poor of a customer as they are human beings.

    GET A LIFE!
