PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Veterans, reservists, and active-duty military personnel in Palm Beach County with suspended driver’s licenses will have an opportunity to get their driving privileges restored while saving money. Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller Mike Caruso announced “Operation Camo,” a multi-day event waiving collection agency fees for service members with outstanding fines.

The program specifically waives the 25-percent collection agency fee that is added to unpaid tickets and court fines. Under Florida law, debts not paid within 90 days are turned over to an outside agency, and the individual’s driver’s license is suspended. “Operation Camo” allows eligible participants to resolve their Palm Beach County cases without paying that additional surcharge.

“We stand by the men and women who proudly serve our country,” Clerk Caruso said. “Operation Camo is a way to show our appreciation to our veterans, reservists and active-duty military personnel for their service, while giving them the chance to save money and restore their driving privileges if they have a suspended license.”

The event is available in-person only on November 10, 12, 13, and 14. Clerk’s offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Participants must bring documentation confirming their military service, such as a copy of their DD-214 form, a military identification card, or a driver’s license with a veteran designation.
