One11 Boca, Now Known As Boca Luna Luxe Lounge, Accused Of Cutting And Pasting Models For Advertising.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two high-profile professional models are suing a downtown Boca Raton nightclub, alleging the venue “pirated” their images to promote parties and drink specials without their permission. The lawsuit, filed November 18th in Palm Beach County Circuit Court against One 11 Boca LLC, claims the business used the likenesses of Janet Guzman and Antje Utgaard to lure patrons into the establishment under the false pretense that the internet celebrities were affiliated with the club.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs are not just casual social media users but professional models whose careers depend on strict control of their “brand.” Janet Guzman, a Los Angeles-based model known as Fashion Nova’s top talent, boasts over 2 million Instagram followers. Co-plaintiff Antje Utgaard, described in the suit as “The Next Kate Upton” by Playboy, has appeared in major films and magazines like Maxim and Sports Illustrated, commanding a social media audience of over 7 million. The lawsuit argues that both women carefully vet their commercial partners and typically command significant fees for endorsements—fees they say One 11 Boca avoided paying.
The filing includes screenshots of the alleged misappropriation on the club’s social media pages. Lawyers for the models claim One 11 Boca used Guzman’s image multiple times in May and June of 2023 to advertise “Fridays Latin Party,” positioning her photo next to offers for bottle specials and beer buckets. Similarly, the suit alleges the club used a photo of Utgaard for a “Santa-Con” event in December 2021. In that instance, the complaint asserts the venue went so far as to superimpose the “One 11” logo onto the hat Utgaard was wearing in the photograph, captioned with an invitation to “kick off the holidays with us.”
The complaint accuses the nightclub of gaining an “economic windfall” by misleading the public into believing the models were hired to host or attend the events. Attorneys for the women argue that the venue circumvented the standard negotiation process entirely, depriving the models of the right to say “no” to an association they might not want. The lawsuit alleges violations of Florida Statute § 540.08 regarding the unauthorized publication of likenesses, as well as common law invasion of privacy, conversion, and unjust enrichment.
The plaintiffs are demanding a jury trial and are seeking unspecified damages, including the restitution of any profits the nightclub made resulting from the unauthorized advertisements. The lawsuit asserts that had the models been asked, they would have “unequivocally declined” to be associated with the venue. The plaintiffs are represented by The Casas Law Firm, P. C. One 11 Boca had not filed a response to the complaint as of Thursday morning.
