UPDATE AT 8:06 p.m. — BocaNewsNow.com has learned that one person is either being held by police or has actually been arrested following today’s incident at Boca Raton Town Center Mall. We are awaiting confirmation from Boca Raton PD. Check back for updates.
UPDATE AT 5:35 p.m. — BocaNewsNow.com has confirmed that three people were injured, none apparently critically. A woman in her 80s sustained injuries when people were fleeing around her. Two young women in their late teens or early 20s sustained knee and leg injuries, also apparently while fleeing. All were taken to Boca Raton Medical Center which is NOT a trauma center. There are no reports of injuries related to the apparent fight. There are no injuries related to gunfire which witnesses claim they heard but police as of 5:40 p.m. deny.
UPDATE AT 5:18 p.m. — Multiple people who claim they were in the mall at the time of the incident say they “absolutely” heard gunshots. The people were all in the area of Sephora. Police, however, have not updated their initial statement that there is no evidence of a shooting.
UPDATE AT 3:56 p.m. — BocaNewsNow.com has learned three people — including an elderly woman — were injured. The woman was injured as people were fleeing.
UPDATE AT 3:07 p.m. — Boca Police tell BocaNewsNow.com at 3:07 p.m. that there was a report of a shooting but there is NO EVIDENCE that a shooting took place. At this time it appears there was a physical altercation of some sort.

Boca Raton Police and Boca Raton Fire Rescue are on the scene. We believe one person was injured in some sort of an altercation, but we are awaiting word on what exactly happened.
We are told huge crowds have been flagging down first responders, but the information they are receiving is apparently contradictory. We will update once we learn more.
