Travelers Who Waited To Fly Home Until Today Are Paying The Price…

A winter storm is pummeling the Midwest — and expected to move east — is creating a domino-effect of problems nationwide.
From data provided by FlightAware: At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, JetBlue cancelled 42 flights today as of 3:20 p.m. — the cancelled flights are nearly evenly split between arrivals and departures. The airline has also logged 66 delays. Spirit cancelled two flights and logged 24 delays at FLL, with Delta, Southwest, American, Allegiant, and most other airlines also reporting a significant number of delayed flights. There are total of 288 delays at FLL as of 3:20 p.m.
At Palm Beach International Airport, JetBlue canceled 28 flights and delayed 17. American Airlines canceled no flights but reports 13 delays, at PBI, with United, Delta, Air Canada, Southwest, and United also reporting delays at the airport. There are nearly 60 delays on the books as of 3:20 p.m. Sunday at PBI.
At Miami International Airport, 256 flights are delayed so far with six cancellations shared between American, Spirit, and Avianca. Of the delays: Avianca, American, Spirit, Delta, Envoy, Frontier, Porter, and Sun Country are all on the list.
