BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The City of Boynton announced Thursday that it has approved a major expansion of the Feeding South Florida facility on Park Ridge Boulevard. The city provided this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:

>> The Boynton Beach City Commission unanimously approved a Major Site Plan Modification on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, allowing Feeding South Florida to move forward with the construction of a new 32,000-square-foot warehouse facility at 4925 Park Ridge Boulevard, located within the Quantum Corporate Park.

The approved project represents the final phase of Feeding South Florida’s campus expansion and will significantly enhance the organization’s ability to serve individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout South Florida. The new building will function as an operational expansion of the organization’s existing 25,775-square-foot warehouse located directly north of the site. Both parcels will be legally combined through a recorded Unity of Title to operate as a single unified campus. The new facility will include dry storage, cold storage, freezer storage, loading docks, and administrative office space, allowing for increased food storage capacity and improved logistical efficiency.

The site will feature shared parking, two access points from Beta Drive, and internal drive aisles connecting both buildings to allow seamless vehicle circulation without reliance on public roadways.

“The Feeding South Florida project meets all applicable requirements of the City’s Land Development Regulations and is not requesting any variances or relief,” said John Stout, Planner II. “The proposed design is consistent with the established character of the industrial area within the Quantum Business Park and represents the final phase of the Feeding South Florida campus. The project fulfills the City’s technical standards in support of an existing community-serving facility.”

The 3.65-acre site is designated for industrial use and is surrounded by compatible industrial developments and community-serving facilities. Landscaping improvements, sustainable development features, fire rescue access, and traffic circulation standards were all reviewed and found compliant through the City’s approval process.

The project was approved subject to standard engineering, utilities, and planning conditions, including sidewalk connectivity, construction mitigation measures, and participation in the City’s Art in Public Places program. “This expansion strengthens Boynton Beach’s role as a regional hub for nonprofit operations and community services,” said the City of Boynton Beach. “Feeding South Florida continues to be a vital partner in addressing food insecurity across our region, and the City is proud to support their mission through responsible economic development.” <<
