The first arrest of a Kings Point Delray Beach resident for 2026 is now on the books.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Kings Point retirement community in Delray Beach just logged its first resident arrest of 2026 — following a record year for arrests in 2025. Our unofficial count shows that the Palm Beach County Jail recorded 35 arrests of Kings Point residents during the calendar year, with 30 in 2024 and and 20 in 2023. That’s 85 arrests over just three years.

Now, the first arrest of 2026 is Ruslan Proshkin of Normandy C. He is just 30 years old, which is certainly younger than most residents in a senior living community. It’s not immediately clear if he is living on his own or with other people who are more age-appropriate for a senior living center.

Proshkin, who remains locked up late Thursday morning, is charged with battery and a probation violation. He was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday night.

Ruslan Proshkin joins other Kings Point Delray Beach residents who have been jailed — some charged with sex crimes, violent crimes, domestic violence, child sex crimes, weapons offenses, DUI, drug possession and distribution, and more. Unofficial records maintained by BocaNewsNow.com suggest there is no other senior living community in South Palm Beach County that logs more resident arrests than Kings Point.
