BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Looking for a fun and exciting family event for Saturday? The Boca Raton Police Foundation is inviting the community to head out to Patch Reef Park for “Pickle For Police,” a unique blend of competitive sports and community safety exhibits. The event aims to bring residents and law enforcement together for a day of action that supports local safety initiatives.
The highlight of Saturday’s schedule is the Corporate/First Responders Cup, which kicks off at 9 a.m. This tournament pits local first responders against corporate teams in a series of matches that are as entertaining as they are competitive. It’s all happening at the park’s recently opened covered pickleball complex—a massive facility that has been open for just three months and currently holds the title of the largest covered complex in Palm Beach County.
Beyond the courts, the day is packed with activities designed for the whole family. Visitors can grab a bite from a local food truck, browse various vendor booths, and get an up-close look at police specialty vehicles. If you stick around until noon, you’ll catch a special demonstration from Boca Raton’s K9 officers and their handlers, who will be showing off the impressive skills they use to keep the city safe every day.
The weekend’s festivities actually got off to a high-speed start on Friday with a professional tournament featuring five of the Association of Pickleball Players’ top 20-ranked stars. This weekend marks the first time a professional tournament has been hosted at the new Patch Reef facility. Whether you’re a pickleball fanatic or just looking for a free way to spend the morning with the kids, the foundation is ready to welcome the community for a great cause.
