Boca High is getting a new roof, Calusa Elementary will undergo major renovations.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The School Board of Palm Beach County is expected to officially enter into a contract with Coral Gables-based LIVS Associates, LLC for a major roof redesign at Boca Raton Community High School. The project, set to be approved at Wednesday’s school board meeting, is valued at $730,752. It also includes other projects in the school district.

At Calusa Elementary,a major renovation project is set to be approved for the school at 2051 Clint Moore Road. The district is hiring West Palm Beach-based Jorge A. Gutierrez Architect LLC to lead the “core renovations” at the campus. The project focuses on expanding and modernizing the school’s central facilities to better meet standard student capacity requirements. 

The extensive design work will cover a complete remodel and building addition for several key areas, including the kitchen, cafeteria, media center, and administrative offices. Structural changes are planned for the dining and stage areas, and the school will see a reconfiguration of its clinic and administration spaces. Additionally, the plans call for new restrooms and improved exterior corridor access. 

Beyond the building itself, the Calusa Elementary School grounds will receive significant upgrades, including expanding the existing parking lots and implementing new drainage, utilities, and paving.

The total cost for these professional design and engineering services is set at $401,236. School officials have established an aggressive timeline for the project, with initial schematic designs due by mid-March and final permitted construction documents expected by September 14, 2026.
