LAKE WORTH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Police just released the image a vehicle of interest in the death of a Lake Worth man following a high-speed hit-and-run crash in West Palm Beach. As we reported last week: 29-year-old Dayan Rodriguez was riding a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Military Trail near Canal 10 Road last Wednesday night. According to investigators, Rodriguez was traveling at a high rate of speed with his lights off just before the collision occurred.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. when a second vehicle, which was reportedly in the northbound turn lane, made a U-turn directly into Rodriguez’s path. The motorcycle slammed into the passenger side of the turning car, ejecting Rodriguez from the bike. The other driver fled the scene, continuing southbound on Military Trail. Rodriguez was pronounced deceased the following morning at 5:53 a.m.

The PBSO Vehicle Homicide Unit has now identified a vehicle of interest in the case. Deputies are searching for a silver or gray 2018 Chevy Cruze bearing Florida license plate RKWB32. This vehicle is believed to have been involved in the fatal hit-and-run and likely sustained damage on the passenger side during the impact.

Investigator J. Frey is leading the ongoing investigation into the fatality. Anyone who has seen the Chevy Cruze or has any information regarding the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or reach out to Investigator Frey directly at 561-681-4530.
