Your Art Could Be Wrapped Around A Tractor Trailer…

Feeding South Florida
Feeding South Florida is launching a student art competition. The winner’s work will be wrapped around a truck.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — South Florida students have a chance to turn their artistic talent into a massive moving masterpiece as Feeding South Florida kicks off its Seventh Annual “Feed Your Creativity” Art Competition. Starting Feb. 1, elementary, middle, and high schoolers across Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties are invited to submit original works for the chance to see their art wrapped around a 36-foot semi-trailer. This “moving billboard” will travel throughout the region, spreading a message of hope and community support.

This year’s competition centers on the theme “Food That Connects,” an initiative designed to highlight how shared meals bridge gaps between neighbors while shining a light on the reality of summer hunger. Organizers are looking for submissions that inspire conversation and reflect the vital role food plays in bringing people together. Students have until April 30 to submit their entries, which will be judged based on creativity and how well they capture the spirit of community connection.

The stakes are high for young local artists, with the first-place winner receiving the ultimate bragging rights: their artwork prominently displayed on a massive tractor-trailer and featured at Feeding South Florida’s Pembroke Park warehouse. Beyond the truck wrap, the winner will be celebrated across social media platforms like Facebook, X, and Instagram. Additional awards will also be handed out for “Team Favorite” and “Most Creative” across different grade levels and counties.

The judging process will wrap up by early May. Feeding South Florida will host a Gallery Night on May 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at their Pembroke Park location to announce the winners and showcase all student submissions. The first-place winner’s school hosts an official truck reveal celebration to debut the newly wrapped vehicle before it hits the road on May 29th.

This creative contest is a key pillar of the “Summer Hunger Ends Here” initiative, which addresses the nutritional gap children often face when school is out of session. By engaging students, parents, and teachers, Feeding South Florida hopes to raise both funds and awareness for food insecurity in a way that celebrates the region’s artistic spirit. All submitted artwork will be on display at the organization’s warehouses in both Pembroke Park and Boynton Beach throughout the season. Learn more here.
