Another Big Week Of Palm Beach County Traffic Problems Starts Now…

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s another big week of big traffic problems in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Lake Worth, and all over Palm Beach County. With thanks to FDOT and Palm Beach County, we present the list of things you don’t want to see but probably should know about:
INTERSTATE 95 IMPACTS
Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange Improvements
- Boynton Beach Blvd (Old Boynton Rd to NW 3rd Ave): One lane closed in each direction, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Saturday nights.
- WB Boynton Beach Blvd Turn Lane (to I-95 South): Closed 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights. Detour: Use W. Industrial Ave to U-turn to eastbound Boynton Beach Blvd.
- I-95 Mainline: One lane closed starting at 8 p.m.; up to three lanes closed 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights. A fourth lane may close as needed.
- I-95 Southbound Exit Ramp: Bridge repairs underway through Early Spring 2026. Motorists must stop on red at the signal; no free-flowing right turn onto westbound Boynton Beach Blvd.
- Ramp Lane Closures: All entrance/exit ramps at Boynton Beach Blvd may have nightly single lane closures, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights.
Full I-95 Ramp Closures (9 p.m. – 6 a.m., Sunday–Thursday)
Only one ramp at this interchange may close at a time.
- NB Exit to Boynton Beach Blvd: Closed for widening. Detour: Woolbright Rd east to U.S. 1, then north.
- SB Exit to Boynton Beach Blvd: Closed for widening. Detour: Gateway Blvd east to U.S. 1, then south.
- NB Entrance from Boynton Beach Blvd: Closed for widening. Detour: East to U.S. 1 or west to Congress Ave, then north to Gateway Blvd.
- SB Entrance from Boynton Beach Blvd: Closed for widening. Detour: East to U.S. 1 or west to Congress Ave, then south to Woolbright Rd.
I-95 Maintenance & Safety Projects
- SB I-95 (Jupiter): One lane closed before Indiantown Rd for sign repair, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Feb. 9.
- Advance Notice (March Closures): High-friction surface installation will cause nightly closures (8 p.m. – 6 a.m.) on March 2 (NB exit to WB Indiantown), March 3 (SB exit to EB Indiantown), March 4 (NB exit to WB PGA Blvd), and March 5 (NB entrance from EB Okeechobee).
SOUTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY (Boca Raton, Delray, Highland Beach)
U.S. 441/S.R. 7 Resurfacing (Boca Raton)
- Glades Rd to Bridgebrook Dr: One outside lane in each direction closed intermittently, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. A1A / South Ocean Boulevard Improvements
- Delray Beach (Linton Blvd to Atlantic Ave): One lane in each direction closed 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Highland Beach (1708 to 4801 S. Ocean Blvd): Intermittent lane closures, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Monday–Friday.
S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction
- U.S. 441/S.R. 7: Northbound and southbound lane closures for widening, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Atlantic Ave Turn Lane (at Wawa): One eastbound turn lane closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Atlantic Ave (U.S. 441 to Lyons Rd): Nightly lane closures in each direction, 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday.
- Smith Sundy Road: One lane closed between Storage Zone and Atlantic Ave, 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday.
- Sidewalk Closures: NB sidewalk closed between Atlantic Ave and Saturnia Isles Blvd. WB sidewalk closed from Lyons Rd to Turnpike.
Delray Beach Maintenance
- WB Atlantic Ave at High Point Blvd: One lane closed for sidewalk repair, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 11 and Feb. 12.
CENTRAL PALM BEACH COUNTY (Boynton, Lake Worth, Greenacres, WPB)
S.R. 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard (Orchid Grove to Palm Isles)
- Electrical Work: One outside lane closed intermittently, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Feb. 9 through Feb. 13.
- Polyurethane Injection: Two eastbound lanes closed from Orchid Grove to Hagen Ranch Rd, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Feb. 9 through Feb. 13.
S.R. A1A at Boynton Inlet Bridge
- Intermittent closures: One lane in each direction, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 9 through Feb. 13. Intermittent sidewalk closures permitted.
S.R. A1A/South Ocean Blvd (Lake Worth Beach & Palm Beach)
- Lake Ave to Ibis Way: Flagging operations 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Night Work: Flagging operations within 800 feet of Lake Ave, 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights.
- Emerald Beach Way to Royal Palm Way: Flagging operations 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Traffic Circle at Mar-a-Lago: New traffic pattern in effect; vehicles in circle have right-of-way.
Greenacres & West Palm Beach Maintenance
- EB Lake Worth Road: One lane closed (Haverhill to Military Trail), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 9.
- S.R. 7/U.S. 441: Nightly closures for striping (Greenacres to Boca), 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Feb. 11 (SB) and Feb. 12 (NB).
- S.R. 7/U.S. 441: Nightly closures (Lake Worth Rd to Boynton Beach Blvd), 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Feb. 9 through Feb. 12.
- Forest Hill Boulevard: One WB lane closed for sidewalk repair at Parker Ave/Lytle Ct (Feb. 12-13) and W. Lake Dr/Carissa Rd (Feb. 13), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m..
Okeechobee Blvd & Haverhill Rd Intersection
- Okeechobee Blvd: Intermittent closures Westbound (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and Eastbound (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Feb. 9 through Feb. 13.
- Haverhill Rd: Intermittent closures North (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and South (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Feb. 9 through Feb. 13. Right turn lanes also intermittently closed.
NORTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY (Riviera Beach, Gardens, Jupiter)
U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Roadway Improvements
- 59th St to Northlake Blvd: Outside lane closures 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday.
- Sidewalk Closures: Corner sidewalks at Silver Beach Rd, Park Ave, and 59th St closed 24/7 through Feb. 13.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction
- SE-bound (Turnpike Overpass): One outside lane closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10.
- Inside Lane Closures: Intermittent daily closures (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.) from Blue Heron to Northlake, Jog Road, and Haverhill Road.
- Night Work: One SE-bound outside lane closed (Haverhill to Jog), 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
- Full Road Closures: NW ramp to EB Northlake Blvd closed. SE Beeline Hwy left turn to EB Blue Heron closed 24/7 through April 2026.
Other Northern Impacts
- Alt A1A (RCA Blvd to Donald Ross Rd): Lane/sidewalk closures 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Feb. 9-13) and nightly closures 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Feb. 9-12).
- Earman River Bridge: NB traffic shifted to SB bridge until Spring 2026. NB outside lane closed daily 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m..
- Marine Impact: Earman River channel closed to mariners through Spring 2027.
- Military Trail (Riviera Beach): One lane closed (Port W. Blvd to Canterbury Dr), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 10 and Feb. 11.
- PGA Blvd Drawbridges: Single right lane closed 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Feb. 18 through March 4.
WESTERN PALM BEACH COUNTY & FLORIDA’S TURNPIKE
- S.R. 15/Main Street (Pahokee): Intermittent lane closures north of Annona St to south of Conners Hwy, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Feb. 9 through Feb. 13.
- U.S. 27/S.R. 25: Intermittent closures 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 9 through Feb. 13. Traffic shifted east until Dec. 31.
- WB Southern Boulevard: One inside lane closed continuously west of Florida’s Turnpike entrance through Spring 2026.
- Florida’s Turnpike (Jupiter): One lane closed in each direction nightly at Beeline Hwy overpass, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
- Florida’s Turnpike (Boynton): Interchange construction at Exit 86 ongoing through early 2026.
