Thunderstorms are expected across Palm Beach County for the next several days.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The threat of thunderstorms is high for the next several days in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and much of Palm Beach County. While rain is desperately needed as the extreme drought continues, there’s real concern that the storms will be more thunder and lightning than rain. That could spark wildfires as Palm Beach County remains under a burn ban.

Here is the forecast for the next serveral days from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 4am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 

Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. North wind 6 to 13 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 

Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Northeast wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. 

Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. Breezy, with an east wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. 

Tuesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Breezy, with an east wind 16 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Breezy, with an east wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. 

Wednesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
