
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man believed to be in his mid-20s was critically injured Friday night when his McLaren crashed and burned in east Boca Raton.
The crash was first reported around 10:45 p.m. Friday. Witnesses reported that the vehicle crashed in the area of 2621 North Federal Highway. BocaNewsNow.com has learned that flames were seen from quite a distance as people in the area pulled the driver of the McLaren from the burning vehicle.
Boca Raton Fire Rescue rushed to the scene and was working to extinguish the flames within minutes. The driver of the vehicle was rushed to Delray Medical Center for traumatic injuries. While serious, it is not believed that the injuries are life threatening.
It was not immediately clear how fast it’s believed the McLaren was driving or how the driver crashed into a tree on a straight road. Boca Raton Police are now investigating the crash. A fire inspector is also investigating what led to the vehicle igniting.
