Canes And Cuffs. Kings Point Delray Beach Retirement Community Nears 100 Arrests Since 2023.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — We don’t know if party is planned but Kings Point Delray Beach is about to hit a major accomplishment. To best of our knowledge, there is no other retirement or senior living community in South Florida that’s logged 100 resident arrests since 2023. But Kings Point is just two arrests away, thanks to the help of Alan E. Gershberg. He is arrest number 98 and remains in the Palm Beach County Jail Thursday morning.
According to records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Gershberg is charged with contempt of court. The arrest report continues to be processed so the specifics of the alleged contempt are not available yet. We’ll update once we receive the information.
Here’s what we do know: Gershberg is a resident fo the Burgandy L section of Kings point. He is 66 years old. He was taken into custody Wednesday night.

Gershberg joins scores of other Kings Point residents who have been charged with, and at times convicted of, sex crimes, child sex crimes, battery, assault, drug crimes, DUI, weapons offenses, and more. Based on unofficial records maintained by BocaNewsNow.com, there is no other senior living community in South Palm Beach County that has logged as many resident arrests as Kings Point: 98 since 2023, the 15th arrest this year.
