Gumbo Limbo is inviting Boca Raton residents to join an Intracoastal Cleanup on Thursday, April 30, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. — a chance to make a direct impact on the barrier island ecosystem.
Volunteers 13 and older can hop in a kayak and paddle while collecting garbage from the waterway. Those who prefer to stay dry can help from the shoreline. Supplies will be provided, and giveaways will be available. Participants can also log volunteer hours.
Check-in begins at 4 p.m. Volunteers are asked to register online.
