
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A child riding his bicycle on Clint Moore Road near Broken Sound was critically injured Wednesday afternoon, according to to sources familiar with the emergency response. Clint Moore Road west bound was shut from just after 6 p.m. until roughly 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
The child, believed to be in his very early teens, was apparently riding his bike when he was struck by a car moving somewhere estimated to be in the range of 40-50 miles per hour. The boy was found with mulitple injuries and rushed to Delray Medical Center. His condition early Thursday was unknown.
Boca Raton Fire Rescue rushed to the scene and had the boy enroute to the hospital within minutes, according to information provided to BocaNewsNow.com. Boca Raton Police immediately started an investigation. It was unclear early Thursday if anyone was cited or charged. Clint Moore Road is not traditionally thought of as being a safe place for kids to ride bikes.
