The “real feel” temperature on Mother’s Day will be at least 100 across much of South Florida, according to the National Weather Service.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Whether your mother is sweating to the oldies or just an oldie sweating, this much is true: complaints about the heat on Mother’s Day are legitimate. It’s going to be exceptionally warm in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and across Palm Beach County.

The National Weather Service mid-day Saturday says that much of South Florida will feel like 100 degrees on Sunday — if not hotter. That’s more-or-less unprecedented for early May. The actual high temperature will be around 90, but the ‘real feel’ is real. If your body feels like it’s 100 degrees outside, it will act like it’s 100 degrees outside. Drink lots of water. Stay inside when possible. Check out the list we posted Friday of cool (and cooling) locations in Palm Beach County.
